| Surrounded by quiet woods, Cry of the Loon Lodge opens onto deep, clear Kabekona Lakean Ojibwe name that translates as peace at the end of the trail. Each cabins picture window frames a view of tall pines, the lake waters , and wooded hills at the edge of Paul Bunyan State Forest.
Its the other seasons too that draw vacationers to Cry of the Loon. A loons call rises from the lake in spring as piney wood smoke rises from the cabins fireplace chimneys. Fall invites hikers looking for bright colors and fine walking trails. Winter guests come to ski through snowy woods or curl up by the fire with a good book.
